Dear neighbors, 

  

Since launching my campaign last month, I ‘ve been knocking on doors throughout the district every day. It has been truly amazing to meet so many families in Miami-Dade County, District 6 and to hear directly from them what issues matter most to our community. 

  

Without a doubt inflation and rising gas prices are front and center. Families are looking for strong leadership that will work for them, not the special interests that want to control Miami-Dade County. 

  

I came to Miami-Dade County from Cuba in 2002, in search of freedom and the American dream. Upon arriving, I immediately fell in love with this country and its endless opportunities to grow and prosper. I became a small business owner and launched Ponemus Group, in 2015, a marketing, consulting and technology software development firm, focused on using the latest technology to help small businesses achieve success. 

  

I know what it takes to foster the economy and create jobs. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, so we need to work to ensure they have all the necessary resources to create jobs without government red tape. I am committed to work tirelessly on behalf of all the families in the district and vow to tackle the issues that are most important to you like affordable housing, lowering taxes, keeping the community safe, access to healthcare and programs for seniors. 

  

Currently, I serve on Board for the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, La Salle Educational Center, and the Monseñor Felipe Bello Foundation. I’m also the current president of the Movement “Somos Mas,” and serve on the Cryptocurrency Task Force of Miami-Dade County.  In 2022, I was deeply humbled to be recognized "Man of the Year" by the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for my work throughout the community. 

  

My wife, Carolina, and I are the parents to two beautiful girls that we are raising in this community.  I look forward to meeting you in person soon and earn your trust to serve as your next Commissioner for Miami-Dade County.
