For those asking to defund the Police do you even know who you would give complete power to instead? Think about it...the police is now governed by separate municipalities at both a local and and state level...with at least some separate checks and balances. If you take that away you will allow for Federal intervention where now law and order could possible be governed by the military or maybe even a private entity. Complete power!!! Don’t even think for a minute that there will not be a need for some sort of law and order...if you do you are blind to the nature of humanity. I’m not saying that our Police Departments and officers are perfect...but there is abuse of power in any position of power. Are we going to disband teachers when you have a teacher that molests a student...are we going to disband doctors when you have doctors commit malpractice...and the list goes on. I am a public servant as are our officers...our jobs are tough but I wouldn’t switch positions for a second...knowing that I could go into work one day and not return to my family and two daughters who depend on me. Please wake up America!!! We are all people...there is no room for discrimination of any type...not race...not religion...not ethnicity...not age...and most definitely not based on the line of work you do!!!
